About Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy places importance on being present in the "now" and becoming aware of how past experiences and emotions may influence our current perceptions and actions. Clients are encouraged to pay attention to their sensations, feelings, and emotions in the present moment, as well as their relationships and interactions with others, in order to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns of behavior. 


A collaborative approach to the therapeutic alliance is central in Gestalt therapy. Therapist and client work together to find a balance between exploring challenging emotions and maintaining a sense of security.
